From the Greater Erie Youth for Christ Board:
It is with great pleasure that we introduce our new Greater Erie Youth for Christ Executive Director, Alina Baiuklin. Alina has had vast experience leading young people to Christ within our community. Through her, God continues to bless and impact those young lives in amazing ways. The board prayerfully sought God’s direction for new leadership of our organization and believe He handpicked Alina for YFC’s mission of reaching more youth in our community. We feel His direction for Alina will continue to grow and reach the hearts of our youth with the word of Jesus.
A couple of weeks ago, we experienced the extensive support network that walks with Alina and continues to encourage her in her new role as Executive Director. We were privileged to gather and pray over Alina and her daughter during her first week on the job. We expected a small group of maybe a dozen people to show up to pray for Alina but were deeply moved by the size of the group that came. Their prayers and enthusiasm expressed in a beautiful way what God has in store for YFC with Alina’s leadership.
We are blessed by what God has done and continues to do with Youth for Christ in our community and look forward to what He has in store for the youth of our community in the coming days.
From Alina
I want to share with our community of prayer warriors and supporters a bit of my heart. The key purpose in my life is to be in a personal relationship with God so that He can pour into me and overflow through me into the lives of the people around me. I’ve been led to Youth for Christ because this global organization shares the same calling as God has placed on my life from a young age, which is to unify communities through youth.
God has given me a vision and calling to meet youth where they are at and provide a safe haven for them: to teach them to grow, heal, repent, live in a Holy reverence of Him, to know the truth of His love for them and find their identity in Him. As Director of Youth for Christ, I seek to create a place of physical, emotional, and spiritual healing that is not associated with any denomination but is for everyone; a place God will pour into the lives of youth on a personal level that will overflow through them on a communal level.
To achieve unity in the community God has called me to step into all schools, mental health institutions, detention centers, churches, and other local nonprofits. Currently, my home exists as a safe place where youth of all ages, ethnicities, and spiritual backgrounds can gather in fellowship to freely discuss their faith or doubts and safely ask hard questions about God. With Youth for Christ, this mission is now not only personal, but communal, and I’ll have the support and resources to amplify God’s ministry to youth and their families in North Western PA.
I am overwhelmingly blessed to accept the torch as the next Executive Director of Youth for Christ and to see everything God has in store for us.
